What size do I need under a queen bed?

An 8x10 lets you step onto the rug on both sides and at the foot. A 6x9 works if you set it starting below the nightstands. For a king bed, choose 9x12.
What size for a living room with a sofa and two chairs?

8x10 if the front legs of every seat sit on the rug, 9x12 if you want all legs on. For a small apartment living room, 5x7 sits under the coffee table and the front edge of the sofa.
Does it come with a rug pad, and do I need one?

No pad is included and none is needed on hard floors, because the backing is rubber. Over wall-to-wall carpet, a thin gripper pad helps stop the rug from creeping.
Will it lie flat, or will the corners curl?

Unroll it and leave it 24 to 48 hours; shipping fold lines relax on their own. Placing furniture on the corners speeds this up. It is shipped rolled, not folded, for the larger sizes.
Is the pattern the same on both sides?

No. The pattern is on the top surface; the underside is the rubber non-slip backing. This rug is not reversible.
